Becki Newton
Becki Newton was born from New Haven in Connecticut, was raised in Guilford within Connecticut. Her parents are of English and Czech descent. She started performing in local theatres. in European History. Newton is a Penn students, was also an active member of Alpha Chi Omega. Newton graduated from Penn University in 2006, relocated to New York City where she landed roles on television for organizations like Olive Garden. Newton was Amanda Tanen from 2006-2010 in the comedy drama series Ugly Betty. Newton hosted the Ugly Betty show together with Co-star Michael Urie. Newton also appeared on ABC.com's Mode After Hours webisode series. Ugly Betty ended in 2010 following the show's four seasons of popularity, allowing it to have a series-ending. In late 2009, Newton performed at an New York City Center Encores! performance of the Gershwin musical Girl Crazy, which was produced by Jerry Zaks. Her real spouse Chris Diamantopoulos performed with her in the role of Molly Gray. Newton was a star in Love Bites, a television series. Cindy Chupack created the hour-long romantic comedies. She also served as an executive producer on Sex and the City. NBC announced the pick up of the show in the month of May 2010.However there was a rift in the series, which began with Newton declaring her pregnancy co-star Jordana Spiro contractually obligated to continue her current show My Boys (which was later canceled) as well as Chupack's wish to end the series, Love Bites was pushed back to midseason.
